Read MS page for exact details.  The release client currently is build 7100.  By the time the shutdown thing happens I will probably dish out the money for the retail version of ultimate. 

ye but i dont get it coz ppl been saying the rc doesnt have a watermark on the bottem right but mine did or does so thats y i asked

if you have the watermark, you have the right version

in the serch bar after clicking the windows startmenu button, type 'winver', the open it, it will tell you the expirery date of the version you have.

Control Panel, System, will tell you the version (and other things, like it does on XP and Vista)
