Hmm... taking a critical look at the admin panel, it's not very um... user friendly.
Don't get me wrong, if you're technically literate then it's a breeze to navigate, but what's needed in the admin panel (and this is also true of much of the site from the admin side) is some links to various sections of the admin panel.

eg. I've just installed my site and I want to add some forum boards, but obviously there aren't any. eoCMS should have a link in that empty space saying. 'No boards found. Add boards'

As I said, it's also true of things like the news categories, panels etc.

yeah, this is being thought about as I do "my" stuff too. see the post regarding anew installer type, and the latest latyout fixes/changes to the admin theme (give the svn a crack)

I have also mentioned a pre-installed "go here do this, go there, click here to change this" etc to install, and I am trying to code this into the pages as I go through them...

but the last 2 or three days has been spent just getting eoCMS to not break.. (I delete eoCMS, and copy in a new one from the svn just about every day) .. its working again, just a couple of missed admin menu files, and some fix-ups in the themes
