Trouble installing the CMS

Hi,
i don't know if it's me or not but i keep getting this error:

Quote:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /www/htdocs/w006e569/block/ext/eoCMS/functions/class.phpmailer.php on line 45

what i did so far:
"Upload all files excluding this file and the license file." worked
"CHOMD config.php to 777." changed
"Go to your site where eoCMS is installed. You should be redirected to install.php" It redirects me to the install.php but then comes a blank site with this error above...

any ideas?

Re: Trouble installing the CMS

You are getting this message because your PHP Version running on your host is not PHP 5. eoCMS requires PHP 5 at the very least to run

Please do not PM me requesting support or anything, use the forums, thats what they are here for

Re: Trouble installing the CMS

Thank you for the quick answer.
I checked my data and it says
Quote:
PHP versions: 4.4.8 / 4.4.8 / 5.2.5

and the explanation:
"The first value is the standard-version installed on the server.
The last two are accessible via .htaccess"

Can you still help me here, or shall i contact the support of my host?

greetings,

Yes, that's the best course of action. Obviously you want 5.2.5.
