Well the idea behind this logo was to really use the K.I.S.S. method. Keep it simple stupid.  We all agreed we were getting tired of the plethora of glossy 'web 2.0' icons and logos.

To me that is too simple and in turn looks a bit stupid, but thats just me.

just a bit, although that will depend on the theme used, this is egi, so it just looks white

what about the same, but with the glode as the 'o' (like designed else where), that would offset the stark simplicity of the flat white..

True, I am in egi so that drastic white is a bit harsh.  Also, it looks too small. Maybe it is because I have a wide screen on my laptop but it is quite small all the same.

Take a look in energy blue, looks great to me

The logo needs to look good in all the themes though.

It needs to look good in whatever situation it is used in, never mind just themes.

as far as themes go, there in no reason for not having separate logos, and ask any advertising agencie, one logo does not work unless you control the colors and setting they go with..

why else would they do multi-million dollar ad campaigns

I personally would change the font height and width, and position of the "show the world" part, but that is obviously just me
