My new installer is complete. I have not yet updated the config to automatically redirect to it yet. The file is called ajaxinstall.php.

Unlike the other ones, it works purely using JavaScript. It removes the problem Paul stated here with memory issues with IIS (Can anyone with IIS confirm this please?) . I have only tested it with MySQL currently.

It removes the need for the separate files which have all the Create tables in as it uses my create_sql function. It is a little rough around the edges atm, if anyone can test it and post here what they think, i would be very grateful

Unlike the previous installers, if you leave in the middle of it, you can go back to exactly where you left off. If for some reason, you close the tab or loose connection during the inserts/table creation, it will keep track of what has been created/inserted too.

I will see if I can get it running on one of the IIS servers at school
