Re: moving themes

yes it could be done. If you're talking about the code, just set the background image as a gif of the code moving on repeat...

In fact, I might try it. Would be VERY server intensive though.

Re: moving themes

No it wouldnt be intensive because its just an animated GIF. Once the browser has downloaded it, it just gets repeated Roll Eyes

Re: moving themes

Yes but to create a convincing effect you're going to need one hell of a long gif...

Re: moving themes

not really, I saw a really good gif somewhere of the matrix effect that was quite small.  Just google around for a bit, there are a ton of crappy ones but a few good ones are in there too.

Re: moving themes

I have some strange ones lined up for the next release, mostly because they test out a "library" plugin.

not static (fixed) bg are more resource intensive, so are large ani-gifs, especially when scrolloing, flash next then opacity last (especially when scrolling over a static bg). A page with all of this can really kill some browsers..

often though (apart from opacity) its because the items are too "fat", "slim" versions mostly perform better, but it take time (and sometimes skill) to tweak gif, flash, and static bg's, so most people dont do it..
