[FIXED] Theme change not registering

Hey guys,

Nice CMS you've got here - much better than some that I've tried!

Quick question/possible bug - I've just installed eoCMS (latest version) yet when I go to the Theme Settings and change the theme, it just goes back to the default.

I know I could probably change it in the database, but I wondered why it wasn't changing.

Edit: Don't quote me on that lol - I just looked in the database, then into the settings table, nothing in there about themes. No theme table itself either.

I tried with the config.php file as both 777 and 644, but neither worked. All of the themes are uploaded as well.

If there's anything you wish me to try, let me know!

Re: Theme change not registering

Are you logged in? If so you need to change it in your profile, we currently know of this and hopefully will be fixed with theme system re-write

Please do not PM me requesting support or anything, use the forums, thats what they are here for

Re: Theme change not registering

Yeah sorry was just about to reply - yeah when not logged in it displays the 'correct' theme, when logged in you need to change it. Thanks!

I'll change prefix now.

Re: [FIXED] Theme change not registering

this should be clarified..

the new "preview" helps, but the "default" setting for theme (per user) needs to be default (no quotes) from site_settings..

a small code adjustment in code needs to be made, resulting in the site set theme changing for all users who DONT "choose their own" theme

Re: [FIXED] Theme change not registering

also it could be useful to preview the theme before use e.g. on mouse over the name of it it then changes the whole site color to the one which the mouse is over

Re: [FIXED] Theme change not registering

Not really as that would cause the CSS to change and new images to load etc making the page quite slow and it would annoy quite a few people, including me Tongue

Re: [FIXED] Theme change not registering

last note: we/I are continually looking at people use interfaces. This would not be an issue if the new user had either default or NO theme set, that way it would change without extra db work, or use interaction. This does not affect the new code add by confuser, which was needed anyway..
