I have nearly finished the new installer that caters for dynamic database support, just the custom TABLE creation and default data INSERT scripts to be adding, then I will look at what is required to get any current plugins to work, and define what will and wont work with the new support

As part of the installer I have also added some "nice extras" and given the layout a tweak, as well as adding language support, on top of the previously (lightly) discussed multiple forum per install and "sibling board" (that use the initial forum users etc)

once I have finished the CREATE and INSERT routines, I will give confuser a whack at it, and if there are no major changes required, open it up to further Developer access. Some things obviously need to still be worked out (like how to organise full forum language support), but I have started it, so at least there is somewhere to go from.

besides thoroughly testing each "step", I have also documented what I have done, in a "database.support.txt" and a couple of related help files.

Thanks for the time you guys (and gals? soon maybe) have put into skinning.  I will post a "theme.support.txt" document soon , and would encourage any of you to add what might be missing. It covers skinning (a default type layout) and themes (complete or partial break from layout of the default skin)

After this, and the database stuff is "completed" I will be whacking out a "Total Conversion" theme (as opposed to the "killertext" partial theme). I think you guys will be quietly impressed, and that eoCMS fits a niche I have been waiting to fill for some time.

However, that theme will take time, although I have everything need to complete it now, it is going to be a COMPLETE conversion, admin as well as the majority of output related functions. So it will be a thorough test of how flexible eoCMS really is, and to what degree the plugins are useful, to which I am looking forward to the calender plugin which looks to be going well (I hope it still is).

As a result of that, I am sure there will be an influx of eoCMS users and people wanting to provide skins and themes, and although I will personally be using "my theme" everyday, I can not guarantee how many others would, except to say that it will certainly raise some eye brows (and interest) and would be good promoting its potential
