I am starting to wounder if this should not be a priority plugin, as there seems to be a use for it at the moment, particularly for things that dont warrent a post, like now

yeah not necessarily for bug announcements, actually definitely not, but more to take up the slack between "an official post" and "bothersome PM's"

I can look at doing something like this, as the site using eoCMS has a requirement for one, and it would be good to get something like this working "legally" on 110mb.com
