Re: addnig new link

Which database are you using? I just tried a fresh install using SQLite and it worked fine, you need to make sure you include http:// in the URL otherwise it will not be a valid link

Re: addnig new link

Hmmm open config.php
Find
Code:
define('FINAL',true);

Replace with
Code:
//define('FINAL',true);

Try adding a link again, do any errors show now? If not reverse the edit to the config.php file

Re: addnig new link

Ok its the database, for some reason it does not accept height and width being empty. Looking into it still...
Right, I believe the problem is because MySQL on your server is running in strict mode, will post solution soon.

Re: addnig new link

thanks.

yes, i think i remember that option, when i installed mysql, but if i remember, this option is checked by default, and there is a little text beside, somethig like "enable database to run is strict mode is recommanded..."

Re: addnig new link

Right your going to need to turn off strict mode, also as a future note, very few scripts will have strict mode support.

Run this in your SQL management script eg phpMyAdmin
Code:

SET @@global.sql_mode= '';

Re: addnig new link

i have 8 others database, 1 forums, 1 shoutbox, 1portal and 6 others cms, they all working fine...

when you told me that running the site on "localhost" can be the issue, i transfered eocms from the test computer to the server, which running winXP pro,Abyss web server 2.0, mysql 5.0.51b and php 5.2.2

5 of them are running for more than 2 years, so i dont want to change any settings that can affect/corrupt the others DB and the way mysql is working with thoses forum/cms.

thanks.
